In the production of glass bottles and glass products, recycled glass can be used. The recycling of glass bottles for raw materials refers to the use of various glass bottle packaging wastes that cannot be used as manufacturing raw materials for glass bottle products. The glass products here are not only glass bottles, but also other product wastes such as other building materials and daily-use glass products. The addition of a suitable amount of cullet in the raw material contributes to the manufacture of the glass because the cullet can be melted at a lower humidity than other raw materials. Because recycling glass bottles requires less heat, the furnace body wear can also be reduced. Studies have shown that in the manufacture of glass bottles, blending about 30% of broken glass is the most suitable, so it can also improve the utilization rate of recycled glass and promote environmental protection.
Currently, 20% of broken glass is used in glass bottle manufacturing processes to promote fusion and the best mixing with quartz sand, feldspar and alkali and other raw materials.
